Weekend goodness

Sewing always calms me.

I whipped up this tee from our favorite Ottobre pattern....pants to follow soon :)

The terracotta fabric is, love it so very soft and cozy

I just adore this picture of his little buddha belly :)

Feel good mail always comes at just the right time.

We've been working on cleaning up the garden for fall....the plants are tired and it's time for new ones.
I gathered up veggies of all shapes, sizes and colors and roasted them.
Roasting brings out such sweetness. Just the thing I needed to feel better.

Pumkin, fennel, zucchini, leeks, onions, red pepper, sweet potato, french fingerlings, basil, tomatoes, parsnips, celery.........

Speaking of feeling better. My girlie girl is ill.
She's been fighting a pretty yucky cold....poor thing.
Lucky her, she is using her time wisely and working her way through many of her thrifted books and drinking tea. Perhaps it is just the break she needed.
Now if only I could help her little nose to feel better.

Been snuggling on the couch working on an elongated stitch scarf....I have got to get this knitting thing to feel natural....

Guess what I'm making?

  1. I love the t-shirt. I started sewing again a month ago but I'm still hesitant to do clothes.
Try saline water for making the little nose feel better. Hope she gets better..

  2. You have a lovely blog here. Thank you.

  3. Please tell me where you bought the cup, it's so cute! Your blog has a very cozy feel to it, I'll be checking back regularly from now on! :)

  4. Imene, tees or clothing from knits are the most simple. Plus if you have a serger you can whip things up in minutes, literally.
I was frightened until I gave it a try and now it's second nature.
Thank you for the saline hint.

    Maribeth..thank you :)

Nicole,The cup came from etsy.... :)

  5. LOVE the shirt! What a super lovely blog, I've enjoyed your post. The background relaxing chirps are just what I needed to hear right now -- the bee thru me off for a minute. haha. With a 3yr old and a 1yr old, I had to find local Mamas and playdates to keep some sanity here. Check for groups in your area. Hope your daughter is feeling better today, and wishing you restful nites and not so hectic days. :)
